TO APPLY at CFTI please follow the steps below. For further questions do not hesitate to CONTACT us.
Step 2: Pay the registration fee applicable to you:
- Domestic students: $250 CAD
- International students: $350 CAD
Step 3: Attach 3 recent photos, taken within last 3 months: head shot, shoulder-length, full-length
Step 4: Record a monologue and upload it on youtube (unlisted) and send the link with your application.
Step 5: Submit a brief essay as to why you are interested in a career in film & TV and why you wish to train at C.F.T.I.
Step 6: Attach your most recent High-School or College transcript.
Step 7: Specify if you have any previous performance related or film production experience.
Step 8: Submit a detailed financial plan, bank statements etc. These statements should explain how you are paying for your studies.
Step 9: (for international students if first language is not English) submit proof of English language proficiency (TOEFL, TEPS, IELTS, TOEIC, etc.).
- IELTS should be over 5.5
- TOEFL should be over 75
If you do not meet the language requirements, depending on your IELTS or TOEFL score, you may first enroll into one of our ESL* classes. After completion of our ESL classes and if you pass the test (which equals to IELTS 5.5), then you can register for the Acting program.
*- This program has a separate fee.
Step 10: If you are accepted, you will receive a letter of acceptance from us by email. Students should then pay their first year’s tuition.
C.F.T.I. does not provide assistance in applying for Student Permit to International candidates who apply for Part-Time (PT) programs (Saturday and Sunday classes).
